MEET TOM KITCHIN

Our latest Journeys In Taste features Scotland’s culinary king, Tom Kitchin. At The Kitchin, his industrial waterfront restaurant in Edinburgh's historic port of Leith, he serves up his modern vision of Scottish food.


Tom takes the wheel of the Lexus RX to travel through the beautiful Highlands to meet his specialist suppliers and forage for the wild berries that will accompany his freshly hunted grouse.

AWARD WINNING QUALITY

Tom’s locally-sourced and foraged menu won him a Michelin star just a month after opening in 2006, making him the youngest Scot ever to win the plaudit. Together with his wife and business partner Michaela, he oversees a fleet of beloved eateries, including The Scran & Scallie, a laidback gastropub in Stockbridge, and The Bonnie Badger, a 14-room hotel and restaurant in East Lothian.
