The new Lexus RZ made its debut in Brussels in March 2025 with the introduction
of a host of innovative updates. The launch also marked the unveiling of a dynamic new model.

WELCOME TO THE EVOLUTION OF OUR ALL-ELECTRIC SUV

 

Upon its launch in 2023, the Lexus RZ immediately became one of the world’s most desirable luxury electric vehicles on account of its 
class-leading comfort, quietness and ride quality.  

In its latest iteration, this striking SUV has undergone a series of innovative revisions, including an increased driving range and faster charging times, along with the introduction of the Lexus-first next-generation steer-by-wire functionality. Additionally, an athletic new F SPORT model has been added to the lineup.

The new Lexus RZ will be available in Europe from late 2025.

EXTENDED DRIVING RANGE AND FASTER CHARGING TIMES

  • The RZ battery electric system (BEV) has undergone a complete revision, with a focus on raising both convenience and driving experience.
  • Technical advances include the introduction of a new eAxle to boost power and efficiency. 
  • A new lithium-ion battery with a capacity increase to 77 kWh increases driving range by up to 100 km*. 
  • Charging times have been reduced through improved battery capacity, battery pre-conditioning and a new 22kW onboard charger.

INTRODUCING THE RZ 550e F SPORT

  • Expanding the RZ line-up for 2025 is the much-anticipated F SPORT model. The most powerful RZ to date, the 550e F SPORT delivers 408 DIN hp/300 kW. 
  • The all-new F SPORT introduces Interactive Manual Drive – a manual transmission-like experience operated through paddle shift controls. 
  • The function-driven design of the F SPORT features lower front bumper mouldings, brake ducts, front and rear spoilers and a modified rear bumper. 
  • Neutrino Grey – an exclusive F SPORT colour – joins a range of exterior finishes, each perfectly complementing the Black x Dark Grey blue-stitched interior.

LEXUS STEER-BY-WIRE*: A COMPLETELY NEW DRIVING EXPERIENCE

  • The new RZ is the first Lexus to adopt the revolutionary steer-by-wire system, which significantly heightens engagement between driver and vehicle. 
  • The extraordinary new steering yoke is designed without upper and lower sections to improve visibility and increase space around the knees and legs. 
  • The system provides easier manoeuvrability at low speeds, agility for smooth driving on winding roads and high-level stability for motorway driving. 
  • Operating in a range of 200° from neutral to full left or right lock, the electronic system affords the driver precise control and easy operation.

NEW TECHNIQUES IN INTERIOR DESIGN

  • The RZ features an all-new cabin trim that incorporates laser-processed graphics applied to the sustainably-produced Ultrasuede door panels.  
  • In another first, the multi-colour ambient lighting casts dynamic shadow patterns. 
  • A new dimming function of the panoramic roof helps keep the cabin comfortable in bright sunshine. 
  • By reducing reflections, it is now possible to use both the dimmable roof and the electronic rear-view mirror simultaneously.

ENHANCED QUIETNESS AND COMFORT

  • The installation of new soundproofing and sound absorption improves the already exceptional near-silent cabin-quietness. 
  • Advances include a new floor silencer beneath the rear seats and bolstered soundproofing in multiple locations. 
  • Additional improvements reduce road and wind noise, while structural upgrades further suppress vibrations. 
  • The adoption of the Lexus Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) contributes to a flatter, more comfortable ride.

DELIVERING THE LEXUS DRIVING SIGNATURE

  • Lexus ensures every model delivers the Lexus Driving Signature – a unified driving experience that imparts comfort, confidence and control.
  • For the RZ, several measures have been applied to build upon the excellent drive quality of this dedicated, ground-up electric vehicle. 
  • Structural rigidity has been increased throughout, which reduces body movement and contributes to precise steering. 
  • The suspension system has also benefited from fine adjustments to promote dynamic performance, stability and ride comfort.

EVOLVED DIRECT4 AWD SYSTEM

  • The DIRECT4 vehicle motion control technology has been 
revised to improve the traction and stability of the RZ all-wheel drive models.
  • The system automatically manages the power to the front and rear eAxles based on driving conditions and driver inputs.
  • By selecting Range mode, efficiency is maximised through a 50:50 front and rear balance.
  • Additional updates contribute to a smoother ride, improved driving stability and enhanced emergency hazard avoidance.
